Summerville
is the most modern concept in the provision of Healthcare in Ireland. It is a
state-of-the art custom built centre. Designed to cater for all age groups who
require residential medical care - be it short, medium, or long-term. The presence

Physiotherapy Department
The
Physiotherapy Department is fitted with equipment that incorporates the latest
technology to aid therapists in their treatment procedures. This includes a Hydrotherapy
Bath, and Infra Red Sauna.
The Department caters for all :-
- orthopaedic, geriatric, respiratory, rheumatic and arthritic conditions.
- Stroke rehabilitation, neurological conditions, incontinence and women’s health.
- Gait training and mobility training, biomechanical assessment and sports injuries.
Oratory
Our
uniquely designed oratory is a multi denominational prayer room. It is a haven
of tranquillity and serenity an ideal environment to take time out for contemplation
and prayer. Hairdressing and Beauty Salon
At Summerville we believe in a holistic approach to health and well being, this is why we have included a Hairdressing & Beauty Salon where people can use the time spent with us to pamper and treat themselves.
We also provide Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Chiropody.
Library and Computer Suite
The library provides free access to reading materials, and also contains a suite
of computers with internet access to keep in touch with the outside world should
you so desire! Summerville has close links with local computing consultant Brian Donaghy of 071computing. He is available for on-site training at Summerville on a one-to-one basis. From time to time small-group computer training courses will also be provided at Summerville.
Knocknarea View Restaurant
Enjoy stunning views of the famous Knocknarea Mountain from our relaxing restaurant. Sumptious and nutritious food is provided by our expert Chefs. Summerville provides a well-balanced and healthy diet suitable for our guests. Our daily menu provides for a choice of foods and all food is freshly cooked daily. Our Dietician advises on the most appropriate diet for individual needs. We also provide for special dietary requirements.
Summerville Official Opening
Summerville was officially opened on 10th June 2005 by Mary Harney TD. The event
was celebrated by respresentatives of many of Sligo's healthcare establishments.
Special thanks was given to those who participated in delivering the excellent
facilities at Summerville. There was the opportunity to meet some of the local
artists whose works adorn Summerville's walls and rooms.
